Basic Applied Forensic Science & Crime Analysis

    Forensic science technicians help investigate crimes by collecting and analyzing physical evidence, either at the crime scene or in the lab. Jobs in this field are projected to grow by 19 percent until 2020, and technological advances are expected to increase the usage of forensic evidence in criminal proceedings.

    This non-credit certificate program at CSULB provides a basic overview of the principles of forensic science, criminal investigation, crime scene investigation, and courtroom presentation of evidence. This program is not associated with any CSULB minor or major degree and does not guarantee a job upon completion.
